Parkrun tourism @ Tilgate Saturday 24th August THIS SATURDAY!

So we've been to Worthing and we've been to Mole Valley. Now it's the turn of Tilgate parkrun!

It's run in Tilgate Park on solid paths with a small amount of gravel and uneven ground.

  • We'll meet at Earlswood Lakes car park at 7:50AM for an 8:00AM get away car sharing to Tilgate. Make your own way to Tilgate if it's easier for you.
  • We'll park in the Fisherman's car park - turn left at the mini round about towards the golf course, as you drive into Tilgate park. Free parking until 11am.
  • After parkrun we'll head to Tilgate Forest Golf Centre for a breakfast - menu here. Please let me know your breakfast choice by Thursday - pay on the day.
  • Remember to wear a Reigate Priory AC club top if you're a member, and of course bring your bar code. Everyone welcome.

We have not yet had any parents or accompanied juniors join us on our parkrun visits. It'd be great to see you!

Make sure that you send your breakfast choice to  by this Thursday. I'm really looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

The World Transplant Games @ Newcastle

Representing GB & NI are our very own Donna Barrington-Smith and Moray Laing.

Moray's events take place later this week. However, we have a report from Donna as follows...

"Yesterday I competed in the World Transplant Games individual archery competition.

Having not been a sport in the World Games in over a decade, GB selected archery as one of their additional sports.

I won BRONZE. It was a tough shoot with swirling wind and strong gusts almost knocking us off our feet!

After this competition we then trialed a demonstration shoot under World Archery rules and I knocked out Iran, going on to come second overall. No medal but a cute target pin given.

Then today was a team shoot and I had been paired up with a gentleman from Scotland. I'm very proud to announce we accepted our fabulous BRONZE medals with delight!"

Full report to follow.

Southern Athletics League event @ Tooting Saturday 17th August

Hot off the press a report by Jo Davey...

"Loads of great performances - Dave Rayner, Tom Almond, Ginevra, Eloise, Graham, Anousha, Dan Statham, and maybe me then all topped off with a fabulous 4 x 100m ladies team. And also some gazelle like leaping in the triple jump by Malcolm. Hope I didn’t forget anyone (I am writing this in the queue in Sainsbury’s!!)"

Thanks Jo.

I'm fairly confident that there will be a forthcoming full report with photos - watch this space!

You should have received an email about this event on Tuesday 30th July with booking instructions. Please send a message to  if you have not received this email.

Wednesday session 1 mile time trial @ Earlswood Lakes Wednesday 14th August
