Nine young athletes from RPAC made the long trip to the Midlands to compete in the English National XC Championships on an undulating, heavy course at Castle Donington.
In the U13 Boys race, in which 420 competed, both our runners had great races with Felix Vaughan 15th and Oli Mooney 138th. Well in the first half of finishers, and both boys have another year as U13's.
Three of our U13 Girls took part and with 449 finishing the race, they can be proud of their performances with Pippa Roessler 54th, Emiko Salvi 95th and Frankie Evered 182nd. Again all comfortably in the first half of the results, and Pippa and Frankie run again next year as U13's.
We had a full team (4 to score) in the U15 Girls race, and out of 33 complete teams from across England, took 15th place. All the girls had strong performances with top finishers being Emelye Kenyon-Brown in 47th and Poppy Wardley close behind in 65th. 354 completed the race.
