Good news! The Richmond 10k results have finally been put onto the Surrey Road League website, and the Senior Men are now in joint 1st place with Ranleigh Harriers, ahead of our close competitors Wimbledon Windmilers and Clapham Chasers.
We have a chance to get our first ever historic win of the Surrey Road League!! But we'll need to get 3 good runners out to the final 3 races - Elmore 7, Elmbridge 10 and the Wimbledon dash.
- Elmore 7 is particularly important - it is usually poorly attended so it is a good chance for us to score well. I know some of you can't attend as it is 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon; Rick Coles and myself are on the entry list but it would be good to have a couple of other faster runners too (I shouldn't be counting really!).
- For the Elmbridge 10k we have Rick Coles, Alister Moses and myself so again could do with a couple more please (good 10k PB potential too if you get to the front at the start...). There are 160 places left for this one.
- The Wimbledon Dash (5k) is also a great chance to score well as it is usually under attended by other teams due to summer holidays. In spite of the hill I have my 5k PB here (ignoring 5000m track), and it is good prep for the Surrey Road Relays over the same course on 3rd Sept (more to follow on that). I'll be on holiday as are some others so please let me know if you can make this one.
