With the spring half marathon season coming to an end, it is time to celebrate everyone’s successes so far this year.

20 senior members of the club have run at least one half marathon this year already. 10 members have achieved a pb, plus there have been a number of near misses. Congratulations to everyone who has competed, and apologies if we’ve missed anyone (blame Power of 10 for that!).

The results include 4 senior men in under 80 minutes, led by Matt Ryde’s 73:18 at Greenwich, which places him (at time of writing) at 41st on the UK V40 list for 2019. The ladies results are led by Ginevra Stoneley’s 86:03 at Fleet (a 3 minute PB), which puts her at 35th in the women’s UK V40 list. Another high UK ranking is Mike Pocock, who is 48th on the V60 list. The full list of runners and times is below.

The award for the furthest travel goes to the group who competed in the Barcelona Half Marathon back in February. They all did good times and apparently had a very enjoyable time!

The successes may not end here though, as at least 2 members are running at Paddock Wood on 7th April, in their last big effort prior to the London Marathon. Good luck to them and anyone else racing in the near future.
