Congratulations to Matthew Pickering who won his race at the West Midlands Inter-Counties XC match on Saturday!

Running for Surrey Schools in Warwickshire, Matthew was first to finish in a race that saw the Surrey Schools team taking on Cheshire, Cumbria, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Gusie Lewis ran well too, finishing 19th in a field of 83.

Matthew becomes RPAC'S fourth winner of an inter-counties XC race for Surrey Schools in the last two years following on from Felix Vaughan, Pippa Roessler and Lucy Broderick.

Lucy Broderick, Emelye Kenyon-Brown and Maddy Pullen all ran strongly in the Surrey team that won the Inter-Girls race on Saturday.
