Four RPAC Juniors took part in the English National XC Championships at Parliament Hill on Saturday. The line of pens used at the start line stretched into the distance with this year's entries seeing 570 complete the U13 boys race and 504 the U15 boys.

In that U13 race, Matthew Pickering had a great run to finish in 41st place (529 behind him!). Matthew will still be in the U13'S for cross country next year.

There were 467 finishers in the U13 girls race where Lucy Dénecé also ran well to come home in 71st place. Like Matthew, Lucy will run as an U13 again next year.

There were good performances too from Noah Young (U15 boys) and Emelye Kenyon-Brown (U17 Women's). With clubs from all across England sending their finest, these National Championships run over the renowned Parliament Hill course provide a challenging test for the young athletes.
