Club news for everyone

Parkrun Tourism event 2 @ Denbies Saturday 27th July

Although it poured down during the previous night, the ground was solid at Denbies for the Mole Valley parkrun and conditions were excellent.

PBs over the course were registered by Charl Jordaan (who also crossed the finish in 1st place), Adrian Grant and myself.

Other attendees not in-picture were Moray Carey and Michael Clark. I hope that all attendees were pleased with their times, as it is not an easy course, and I think that everyone did well.

Some were tantalisingly close to their course PB!

17:56 Charl Jordaan 1st

21:41 Paul Walters 20th

24:57 Michael Clark 63rd

25:13 Andrew Bamford 67th

27:06 Bethany Higgins 103rd

29:24 Adrian Grant 141st

31:38 Jack Finn 178th

33:10 Moray Carey 206th

33:12 Stewart McIntyre 207th

35:33 Usha Stevens 224th

36:13 Michael Bashford 225th

38:14 Sarah Walters 239th

Full results are here.

We were joined by Sue Carnell and Paul Byrne for coffees all 'round at Squires Garden Centre on our return to Reigate.

The next parkrun event is on Saturday August 24th when we will be heading over to Tilgate. Shove it in your diaries!

Junior's parents and accompanied juniors are very welcome to join us.

Here is the list of future dates and venues...

Reigate and Banstead Twinning - can you host a runner from France for Run Reigate 2019 (no responses as yet)?

Without getting embroiled in a Brexit debate (!), the Reigate and Banstead Twinning Association is hosting visitors from our twin town of Brunoy, France (pronounced "Brunoir") on Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September, and we have four runners coming over to take part in the half marathon over that Run Reigate weekend. Would you consider hosting someone from Brunoy? Let's show our entente cordiale!

If it is possible for you to host, can you please contact Sarah Walters by sending her an email to
