Club news for everyone

 

Parkrun Tourism to Hove Promenade with Minibus Travel Saturday 23rd November

The 5th fixture in our Parkrun Tourism spot - Hove Promenade Parkrun.

This event is open to all senior members, parents, accompanied juniors, and even family members and friends of our club. We have always had a great turn-out and a lovely time at these events through 2019. The cost of the minibus is subsidised by Reigate Priory AC - free to members and will cost £5 each for non-members.

The schedule is as follows...

  • 7:25AM park at Reigate College (Rushworth Road entrance).
  • 7:30AM depart in the minibus for Hove Promenade.
  • 8:30AM be warming up on Hove Promenade.
  • 9:00AM Parkrun starts.
  • 10:00AM Breakfast in Marrocco's café - see the menu here.
  • 11:45AM back in Reigate.

If you'd like to take part, please can you please email with your menu choices.

We'll pay the café individually, and non-members can pay me for the minibus travel in cash on the day.

 

A date for the diary - Xmas club social on Thursday 12th December

Please join us for a social evening at the Prince of Wales pub, Holmesdale Road, Reigate on Thursday 12th December.

An area has been reserved in the lounge area from 7pm and all Seniors and Junior parents are welcome.

Surrey XC League Matches Saturday 9th November 

The second Surrey XC League matches took place last Saturday with the boys races on Wimbledon Common and the girls' races on Mitcham Common. A full report is not available at the time of writing. The U13 boys finished in 3rd place, the U13 girls A & B teams finished in 4th and 11th places respectively, the U15 girls finished in 9th place and the U15/U17 boys finished in 11th place.

Sunday 17th November Camberley Open Cross Country.

Tuesday 26th November 7PM monthly Tuesday session for Juniors at K2, Crawley.

Sunday 1st December Border League at Lightwater Country Park hosted by Bracknell AC.

 

Senior news 

 

Cross Country League Fixtures 9th November

The Ladies teams were in action on Mitcham Common. A full report can be found here.

The Men's teams competed on Wimbledon Common. The Men's A team finished in 5th place and the B team finished in 9th place.

MABAC Fixture Farley Heath Sunday 17th November 10:00AM

This Sunday sees the final MABAC fixture of 2019. Meet in Bell St Car Park for a 08:15 departure. If you plan to run, need a lift, or can help with transport please contact us to let us know .  Strong turnouts in recent fixtures have seen us working our way up the league; we are within striking distance of Runnymede Runners who are immediately above us. It would be great to overhaul them and finish in 6th place.

Less intense option:

1200m, 1000m, 800m, 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1200m

Session from YMCA Sovereign Centre Wednesday 13th November 7:00PM

A WhatsApp group has been set up to aid communications. The link will be sent out in the email version of this newsletter. 

This week's session will be an easy run into Reigate, followed by faster loops of Homebase and Station car parks.

 

Winter road session in Reigate on Thursday 14th November 6:30PM

Note the later start time. Meet at Majestic in Bell Street for 6:30PM and jog to the Parish School. Loops round Blackborough Road and Reigate Road. Led by Usha and Moray this week.

 

No Sunday Run on Sunday 17th November

There is no Sunday Run this weekend because of the MABAC fixture.
