Two young teams from RPAC took part in the Surrey Network Quad Kids competition at Guildford with some outstanding individual and team results.
Each athlete competed in a 75m sprint, 600m run, standing long jump and vortex howler throw. The event finished with a relay. At the end of the evening our A team had claimed a very creditable fourth place out of the nine teams taking part. This was particularly noteworthy as our team comprised mainly year 5's rather than the allowed year 6's.
Rowie Braid was our highest placed girl athlete finishing 8th in the individual rankings for girls, and Will Graham our highest placed boy athlete, with 11th place in the boys individual rankings. Both were awarded the Quad Kids Gold Standard as was Izzy McManus. There were Silver Awards for Zak Lovegrove, Jack Timbrell, Lucas Churchwood, Eva Peters and Lucy Denece. Bronze Awards went to Oscar Curry, Holly Howell and Evi Nimako.
It is likely the A team will have won through to the Network final to be held later in the season.
