Come to Worthing Parkrun on Saturday 21st March

On Saturday 21st March Worthing Parkrun is not only our Parkrun Tourism destination, but also the second event in the Reigate Priory AC Grand Prix 2020 season.

The Reigate Priory AC Grand Prix is a great opportunity for any member to gain a running award in 2020. You can read more about the Grand Prix here.

We will travel in minibuses to Worthing and will finish off by having Breakfast in The Burlington Hotel on Worthing sea front.

We want to invite Reigate Priory AC members from the senior section to take part in this event as part of the Grand Prix, but additionally we hope that parents of junior members and accompanied junior members will also come along, and as long as there is space non-members are very welcome come along. Note that for club members, we want to encourage you to wear your Reigate Priory AC vest.

For those who don't know (will there be anyone?) parkrun is a fantastic organisation, providing free 5km running events all over the UK and beyond, generally at 9AM on a Saturday morning. There are plenty of parkrun events within reach from Reigate for us to have a full schedule with a different parkrun each month for at least 2 years. You register at and once registered you can visit any parkrun with your printed bar code (provided on registration). Results are provided later in the day on the parkrun website.

We're hoping for a really good turn-out from the club, so please come to Worthing to experience a great Parkrun and a lovely slap-up breakfast.

Why Worthing parkrun?

Worthing is a large and attractive seaside town in West Sussex at the foot of the South Downs with a pier and a long sea front.

But, and this is the main point, Worthing parkrun is a flat and fast out-and-back 5Km. It is very much PB material.

Afterwards, the visit to the hotel with a slap-up breakfast will cap off a wonderful visit to Worthing.

We have been to The Burlington Hotel at Worthing as a club before, and the breakfast is highly recommended.

What is the itinerary?

The schedule will be...

7:15 Arrive at Reigate College (Rushworth Road entrance). We have use of the car park.
7:20 (Latest) set off for Worthing.
8:30 Arrive at Worthing.
9:00 Worthing parkrun.
10:00 Breakfast in The Burlington hotel.
11:00 minibus departs Worthing.
12:30 Back in Reigate College car park.

What does it cost?

The cost of the mini-bus will be covered by RPAC unless you are not a club member, in which case you will need to pay £5 in addition to the breakfast.

The cost for breakfast is £12.50 for the full breakfast or £6.50 for the continental breakfast.

You can see the breakfast menu here, and you will need to send me your main breakfast selection from this menu, although they can do special requests and dietary requirements - just ask us.

If you don't want to come for the breakfast then you will not need to pay, but if you're travelling in the minibus you will need to wait until 11:00 before we start our return to Reigate.

How do I take part?

If you'd like to take part, please send an email to  before Saturday 14th March, and tell us who is coming and the breakfast selections from the menu here, and I will reply back with confirmation of your booking.

All payment will be on the day. If you are a non-member, please pay £5 cash for the minibus travel, and other than that you may pay for the breakfast by cash or card.

If you have booked a place in the minibus and/or breakfast but cannot make it on the day, please do get in touch with me at the earliest convenience.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 21st March.
