Club News For Everyone
I hope that this newsletter finds you and your families all keeping fit and well. As restrictions are gradually being lifted we are keeping a watchful eye on the England Athletics website for updated guidance on what we can and cannot do.
Minutes From The June Committee Meeting
Summary minutes from the committee meeting held on 10th June are here.
Emails about the renewal of club membership and payment of subs will be sent out soon.
Can You Help?
We are looking for an expert in Joomla to help with the club website. If you are a Joomla expert, or you know someone who is who you think could be tempted to help, please get in touch
Please see the noticeboard for details of who is scheduled to attend which sessions this week. Thank you to Malcolm for updating the lists. Please note the request to give 24 hours' notice if you know that you can't make it. Please also make sure that you follow the signs to avoid breaching the social distancing guidelines.
We are reviewing how we may be able to get the younger junior members and junior academy members back into training. Further details will be sent out in due course.
Javelin & Hurdles Taster Sessions
A reminder that Ellis is running some taster sessions for you to try javelin and/or hurdles. Please see the notice board article for more details on how to join in.
As we have had a few new members join us recently I wanted to highlight that details of all of our club kit are shown on the club kit page. In addition to the training shirts and vests that we have in stock we also do a order for club hoodies a couple of times a year and there is also a range of RPAC branded kit available to buy from iProSports RPAC club zone.
England Athletics Virtual 30
Why not sign up for the EA Virtual 30? The challenge is to run as far as you can in 30 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday. You "compete" against other teams and collect points for RPAC. You have to sign up individually via Open Track. Details of how to sign up to the competition are here. There was an issue with duplicate entries for RPAC, but I think I have sorted this out now..please let me know if this isn't the case.
At the committee meeting held last week it was decided to call time on the virtual competitions - at least for the time being. Thank you to everyone who has taken part; hopefully the competitions were enjoyable and provided something to keep up us going over the past few months.
