Nine young athletes from RPAC undertook the challenging cross country course at Parliament Hill on Saturday, competing in the South of England XC Championships.

The first event saw Oscar Curry, in his first run at Parliament Hill, finishing the U15 boys race just outside of the top half with 317 completing the course. Another good run by Oscar.

Next up were the U13 girls, and with runners from 77 clubs from all across the South of England taking part, it was a great experience for Shakila Keable, Cara Koutzaroff-Richards, Livvy Thompson and Charlotte Pelekani who all battled well including managing the long (long!), uphill start!

The U13 boys race saw entries from 83 clubs! Strong running by Will John-Cox and Sammy Rolaston saw them finishing only 8 places apart, well inside the top half of the 304 finishers.

Imogen Gregory ran with her usual determination to complete the two laps undertaken by the U15 girls, and in the U17 boys race, Noah Young, now an old hand at running this famous course, competed strongly to clock one of his best finishes.

Good to see some proudly sporting their Southern XC Championships hoodies at Battlebridge training!
