Club Container - by Ellis Cain-Jones

We’ve noticed that the container at Battlebridge is no longer water tight and there is risk of damage to its interior which includes of course the control for the flood lights.

Are there any members or friends of that have any experience with metalwork or steel panel repairs? If there are please get in touch with Ellis on

The Ladies V35 Half Marathon trophy has gone missing and has not been seen since the awards evening in January last year. If anyone knows where it is please contact me at

 

EA Virtual Road Relays - by Malcolm Woodman

The EA Virtual Relay - see https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/virtual-road-relay-competition-the-results-are-in/.

We have qualified for the National round, finishing in 35th place out of the 128 clubs who took part. Congratulations to all our members who participated in the Qualifying competition (full list is below). The National round will take place between Wednesday 10th and Monday 15th February (note extended period), everyone can participate, not just those that competed in the Qualifying round. Watch this space for details of an internal club competition to encourage participation.

 

There's no stopping our Kate!

Following surgery in December, Kate Knight has signed up to do 600 miles for NHS charities and MIND between 1st February and 31st March 2021. Kate says that even if she has to walk it, she will do this. Kate has set up a brand new fundraising page for East Surrey Hospital that you can find here.

With the second lockdown under way we decided it would be a good idea to relaunch virtual competitions which can be completed by juniors and seniors alike. If anyone has any suggestions as to what they'd like to see please let me know by emailing
