Hello everyone. I hope that you and your families are all keeping safe and well. At last we have some good news to report!
Return to training and competition
Following the Government's announcement last Monday I am delighted to say that subject to final confirmation, we should be able to return to training and some competitions from 29th March. More details are on the Noticeboard
The Club AGM - a date for you diaries
You will have seen from Malcolm's email earlier today that the AGM will be held on Monday 26th April. Please add this date to your diaries. More details are on the Noticeboard.
Please note the very important information about nominations being needed for the post of Club Chair.
We will also be awarding trophies to the 2020 Club Champions and to other competition winners.
Update on Kate's Challenge
As we mentioned in the newsletter of 1st February Kate Knight is aiming to cover 600 miles between 1st February and the 31st March to raise money for the charities NHS Charities Together and MIND. As she underwent surgery on her neck in December she is having to walk most of this. Kate has now passed the halfway mark. Her fundraising page can be found here. Well done Kate!
Senior Club Championship Competitions for 2021
Despite the proposals for easing lockdown there still remains significant uncertainty about which races will actually happen this year and the potential for clashes with league fixtures, etc. In view of this the Team Captains and Committee have agreed that for this year only the senior 10K, 10 mile and Half Marathon Championships will be awarded based on the fastest times recorded by RPAC athletes on Power of 10. Hopefully this is clear but if you have any questions please ask
Keep in touch
