Club News For Everyone

I hope that this newsletter finds you and your families all keeping fit and well.

Membership Renewals

You should have received an email requesting you to renew your club membership. If you have not received this email, please contact Nat Wilson at

Training Sessions

Please see the noticeboard for details of who is scheduled to attend which sessions this week. Thank you to Malcolm for updating the lists. Please note the request to give 24 hours' notice if you know that you can't make it. Please also make sure that you follow the signs to avoid breaching the social distancing guidelines.

We are reviewing the latest advice from EA, in particular the potential increase of training group size to 12 in a Covid-secure environment. There will however be no change to the planned training this week.

We are also reviewing how we may be able to get the younger junior members and junior academy members back into training and further details will be sent out via email.

Javelin & Hurdles Taster Sessions

A reminder that Ellis is running some taster sessions for you to try javelin and/or hurdles. Please see the notice board article for more details on how to join in.

Club Kit

As mentioned in last weeks newsletter, we have a number of items of club kit listed on the club kit page. This includes T-Shirts immediately available from Nat (seniors) or Mike (juniors).

There is also a range of RPAC branded kit available to purchase from the iProSports RPAC club zone. This range is currently under review so if there's anything specific that you'd look to buy which is not currently available, please let us know.  Current thoughts on additions to the list of kit already available include RPAC branded face masks and beanies.

England Athletics Virtual 30

If you haven't done so already why not sign up for the EA Virtual 30? The challenge is to run as far as you can in 30 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday. You "compete" against other teams and collect points for RPAC. You have to sign up individually via Open Track. Details of how to sign up to the competition are here. After a false start (the tech isn't the easiest to navigate!) I have managed to log an entry for last week. Well done to Ian Stammars and James England who have also managed to log entries - apologies if I have missed anyone, as I said it isn't the most intuitive website I've ever used.

Virtual Competitions

Several of you seem to have missed the notice in last week's newsletter that we have paused the virtual competitions for the time being. Whilst I am very happy for you to continue to send me your mile times I won't be doing anything with them for the moment.

Can You Help?

We are looking for an expert in Joomla to help with the club website. If you are a Joomla expert, or you know someone who is who you think could be tempted to help, please get in touch

Keep in touch

It's more important than ever that we keep in touch with each other at this time. Stay safe everybody. Please let us know if there is anything you'd like to see in the newsletter.
