Parkrun
Now that Parkrun has returned one of our members suggested that it would be good to see who had run which Parkruns and the best times and age gradings each week. There is a simple way of seeing who ran which Parkrun and their time by clicking here. This week RPAC runners ran in Parkruns ranging from Norwich to Woolacombe Dunes. Age grading requires us to open each race and harvest the results - a bit of a task. This week Graham Bull took the honours with a score of 78.00%, closely followed by Annette Morris on 76.29%, Ian Stammars on 74.49% and Jo Davey on 73.83%. Please let us know if this is of interest; if it is we may need to recruit a volunteer to help collate the age graded scores .
Give us your results please
If you run in an event, do please let us know your results by emailing . If possible please can you submit them by Sunday evening at the latest as this allows us to meet the deadline for the Surrey Mirror sports pages.

Lily B League Guildford 7th August from Mike Gent
The second match of the girls Lily B league took place at Guildford on Saturday. We had a strong turn out from the U11s and Reigate athletes were very much to the fore. We won both the 600m races through Lisette Matthews and Zara Wright. Zara also had the longest long jump and then Freja Kargbo and Lisette won their 75m sprints. Denise Ornella and Amy Dhanda both performed strongly in their first competitive match for the Club and Florence and Gracie Shade show their strong all-round ability with great results across all three events. The highlight though was the 4 X100m relay where we managed to field two teams and came second in both races after an impromptu fifteen minute training session with a juice bottle as a baton.
In the older age groups we were somewhat depleted, but dominated the U15 800m where Ella Scrase won the A race and Sophia Bryant the B race, and Eva Marsh followed up her win in the County Championship with another great time in the U17 1500m.

MABAC Wimbledon 3rd August - our best result to date
A really strong turnout helped RPAC to secure a best ever third place in the MBAC race held on Wimbledon Common last Tuesday, 3rd August. A full report is here, but the highlights are that we had 22 senior and 2 junior athletes taking part and that Andrew Reeves, Neil Fenwick and Frank O'Regan came in second, fourth and sixth respectively in the men's race with Anna Roberson, Gillian O'Regan and Bethany Higgins finishing well up in the ladies race. Joel Lawrence was the first home in the one lap race. Full results will be added to the results section once they have been finalised.
It would be great if we can get an equally good turnout at the remaining MBAC events.

River Relay 5th September received from MABAC
"I am sending this to all MABAC clubs for your interest. This event was devised many years ago by Feltham Puffers, a (now disbanded) MABAC League club and involved a 30 mile course from the totem pole in Windsor Park to Old Deer Park Sports Ground, Richmond. Over the years various route changes were witnessed and then, like the Puffers, the event was discontinued. A few years ago the event was rekindled by The Stragglers with a modified route and so now we have:
THE RIVER RELAY 2021 (see http://www.stragglers.org/clublife/event/432757)

The race is now run over 5 stages, following the Thames Path from Boveney Church near Windsor to the Hawker Centre in Ham, with a total distance of 26.2 miles. As in previous years, teams must feature at least one female and one veteran,, giving an opportunity for clubs to put runners together who may not normally share a team.
